Nissan Qashqai The all-new Nissan Qashqai has the tough task of replacing a car that proved to be successful beyond Nissan's wildest dreams.
Nissan has played it relatively safe with the new model's styling; the major news is the introduction of a turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol engine and a range of advanced safety features.
There'll be no +2 seven-seater this time - its place will be taken by the new X-Trail, which also goes on sale in 2014.
On sale: February

Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupé Mercedes-Benz confirmed that the S-Class Coupé concept car that made its debut at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show is a "concrete vision of the next model generation".

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Mercedes-Benz has released pictures of the all-new C-Class's cabin, but is yet to unveil images of its exterior.
Exterior images are expected to surface before the car is unveiled at the Detroit motor show in January: expect styling that's strongly influenced by that of the CLA and S-Class.
A new four-link front and five-link rear suspension system is aimed at making the new C-Class better to drive, while air suspension will be available as an option for the first time and extensive use of aluminium should make it lighter than the current car.

Volvo XC90Although it remains popular, a replacement for the current XC90 - which was launched in 2002 - is long overdue.
The second-generation model will be the first to use the company's new platform, which will underpin its next generation of cars. The engines will all be four-cylinder units.
Volvo hasn't released any images of the next XC90, but has hinted that elements of the Concept Coupé (pictured) - which was revealed at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show - will be present.
Volvo is expected to unveil a concept car that gives a better idea of what the XC90 will look like during the first half of 2014, before the production version goes on sale towards the end of the year.
