North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and wife Ri Sol-ju step off of their luxury Russian-built Ilyushin IL-62 jetliner - dubbed by western media as Air Force Un. According to a senior government source in South Korea, Kim likes steering aircraft even though he is not thought to have any formal aviation qualifications.

Kim's aircraft drew obvious comparisions with US President Obama's Air Force One. Technically Air Force One is the call sign of any Air Force aircraft carrying the President. However in practice it is used to refer to one of two highly customised Boeing 747 planes used to transport the president. Capable of refuelling mid-air, Air Force One has unlimited range. It would be able to function as a mobile command centre in the event of an attack on the United States, with advanced communications equipment. The President has 4,000sq ft of floor space on three levels. The Presidential suite features a large office, lavatory, and conference room. Air Force One also includes a medical suite that can function as an operating room, and a doctor is permanently on board. The plane’s two food preparation galleys can feed 100 people at a time. The quarters for those who accompany the president are slightly less opulent.
